This red-winged starling joined us for lunch. and sat on the table and even tried to eat from my plate (Aughrabies Falls, Northern Cape, South Africa). They sometimes become a real nuisance at picnic spots. That doesn't take away any of their beauty. The fine dark feathers and especially their bright orange eyes are absolutely stunning.
