The kea, a New Zealand native bird and protected are such comedians and very clever birds. I watched this bird flip upside down on to its back and start preening its under belly feathers. If you are ever in New Zealand you have to see these birds, they are very entertaining.

Took awhile to see this upside-down contortionist, but your description helped a lot, Ann. Great clarity and colors. #1642578Jeff Robinson November 15, 2015

When we were in New zealand many years ago on a coach tour, the driver pulled up for us to look around near a tunnel & told us to watch for the Kea. It was hiding in the dark & would jump out when any of us got close. When we were leaving the driver fed it, obviously they had a deal going on, food for entertainment. This sure is a well timed image of this beauty, good work=^..^= #11466805Sign up for an interactive online photography course to get critiques on your photos.
