Description

Bubble-net feeding is a cooperative hunting strategy that occurs within a group of whales. To bubble-net feed whales dive deep below schools of fish and uses bubbles blown from their blowholes to stun and trap the fish closer to the surface. During this process the whales swimming toward the surface will have their mouths open and gulp fish from the school they have corralled. The birds also take advantage of this process and catch what they can.
