Cathedral of the Holy Name
Uploaded: July 08, 2010 17:37:46
In 1874, Brooklyn architect Patrick Charles Keely, who would later also design St. Stanislaus Kostka, was selected to draw plans for the new cathedral of Chicago. On July 19 of that year, the cornerstone was laid. On November 21 of the following year, Bishop Thomas Foley dedicated the church and christened it the Cathedral of the Holy Name.

This is a HDR image. The range of light is large inside a church and would be impossible to photograph without the use of HDR. #8746010Mitch Spence July 10, 2010
