Thank you. Here is the original photo before uping the color up a notch. #118781Brian Neill May 26, 2019
Thanks for showing the original. I don't have the "technology" to do such enhancements so I'm amazed to see what's possible. #118928Roseann E. Dreasher May 26, 2019
Hey Brian! This contest would be a whole nother ball of wax if no one used enhancements with their photos. Some people are just better photographers, and others better at enhancing their photos. I probably fall into the last category. I have a degree in digital media design, so of course I have all the software I need to enhance photos. There is a delicate balance that sometimes is not met when alterring a photo, and the result can be very obviously enhanced. I prefer subtle as to not distract from the original but just to alter colors or maybe take an element out that might be distracting in the photo. I am in awe with the photography on this site! Each one of us has our own style and can learn from the variety of talent on here. #119122Melissa Williams May 26, 2019
I'm not so talented at digital enhancements either. I have to make sure I get it right in the viewfinder. I can crop, remove dust and scratches, but nothing major. I try to mess with it as little as possible or I'll make it look worse with my bumbling in Photoshop. #124700Roseann E. Dreasher May 26, 2019
Melissa, believe me I have many bumbles in Photoshop as well. I have spent days on a project only to look at it and think ugh and toss it. I love it when I have photos that don't need any enhancement, that is a good day in my book!! #124829Carol Brill May 26, 2019
Amen, Roseann! #124925Dottie Shepherd May 26, 2019
Roseann, Great Before and After...It made me feel better after reading the comments ..I realize I'm not the only one who is not versed in enhancements...All that aside excellent job..!!! #131562Kathleen R. Struckle May 26, 2019
Roseanne, Great picture. Kathy S. #133443Melissa Williams July 05, 2003
Any ides why they don't want coins? I wouldn't mind fishing out a bunch of free money if it were my fountain or pond. Do coins harm anything in there? #133935Roseann E. Dreasher July 07, 2003
Thanks Kathy!Melissa, I am not sure why they don't want coins but maybe it's because there are fish swimming around and they could become injured?
I am thrilled that this photo is a finalist in the contest!! #135921
