David...I love this! MAny congratulations! But I don't understand it. Is it a reflection?? Or the sun through a transparent window...if that is the case, I don't see the panes. I don't understand this image....BUT IT'S AWESOME!

Wow... WOW. The first time I saw this I thought that it was Digital Art work. It's amazing that it's unaltered. Really incredible photo... otherworldly. The small people with their shadows at the bottom remind us of how small we are. Big congrats on your First Place winner!!

  Hi,
Many many thanks for all your very kind comments. In response to Dolores and the other people who have sent me emails let me explain...
The exhibit was in the turbine hall of the Tate Modern in London. Basically the artist, Olafur Eliasson placed a massive mirror on the ceiling of the hall and then put a row of arc lights behind an very large semi circle of orange gel up against the mirror, giving the impression of the full sun. Into the hall, which is huge, he then pumped 'clouds' made up of sugar and water. What I found amazing was that people were lying down and 'sunning' themselves. Probably says more about the weather in the UK! If you look up the artist on the web I am sure you will find some more photos of the piece.

Dave
