Thanks everyone for the kind remarks. Claudine this image was shot without flash, handheld using an ISO of 800. The Brookside Butterfly "Wings of Fancy" exhibit is in a greenhouse that gives a nice slightly diffused light on most days. I used F11 and a shutter speed of 1/200. You must shoot a number of images though because the field of focus is narrow this close and the butterfly moves readily in and out of complete focus. Hope this helps
