Wow. Just wow... I just finished watching Ken Burns' National Parks, and long to see this myself. Beautifully captured... makes you sad to think what Hetch Hetchy Valley offered us, now flooded.

Thanks for taking notice of my image. This place is magical. I hadn't been there since my youth, and have started going back--and will continue to do so. I have had the same thoughts. I haven't researched it further, but some other Yosemite folk have said there are ways to maintain a proper reservoir for San Francisco's use while draining the Hetch Hetchy valley. I don't know if it is true. I have been told that it had more spectacular waterfalls, but couldn't trump Yosemite for overall beauty.
