I have never seen so many beautiful blue columbines, the State flower for Colorado, in one open space before. Your composition is lovely, especially with the beautiful lighting and the mountains in the background. This should be used to save the San Juans from the drilling of oil and gas. Congratulations on your beautiful POTD, Tad! And, for capturing this beautiful area before it's ruined by the drilling of fossil fuels. Drilling or mining for fossil fuels contaminate surface and ground waters with hydrocarbons and radionuclides from production waters, which comes up with the oil and gas. This can result in the increased risk of cancers including bone cancer in animals and people. It's a shame to contaminate such beautiful landscape with oil and gas production.
