Nikon SB800 cable

I recently bought a Nikon SB800 flash and a stroboframe for an upcoming wedding I'm doing. I still need to purchase a cable to attach the camera to the flash, but I'm confused... One photography shop tells me I have to buy a special cable for the SB800, and the other photo store only sells the generic kind...the price difference is huge. I want to know if I need to purchase a special Nikon cable or if I can use the generic kind with this flash. Any other comments or suggetions about the flash would be helpful as I'm just learning it.

The cheap simple cords do not have all the contacts/leads necessary for full camera/speedlight communication. Using one of these cords you are limited to using the SB800 in non-TTL auto mode in A and M modes only. Nikon's SCxx cords retain full communication and TTL flash metering in all modes.

Thanks for your comment! I just went out and bought an SC28. Works great!
