photographing fine jewelry I am having a problem photographing some fine jewery up-close. (diamond rings, etc.) When I get close up with my digital, it gets too blurry under auto-focus. My camera takes great non-close-up pictures, but lacks a good telephoto lens. Could you recommend a certain type of digital camera that would be good for such an application. I am trying to build a commercial jewelry website. Also, any good books I could read in regards to lighting? Thanks in advance-I am most frustrated. George

What kind of camera do you have? Most digital cameras have a macro mode-- usually a button or a mode on the dial that has a flower symbol by it. This should help you do good closeups. Good lighting is a must. If you still have the manual that came with your camera, check to see if it does macro. And I'm sure the websites offered will help also. Nancy
