Printing Digital Epson 2200 I bought an Epson 2200 about 8 months ago. Most of my images look great. I was wondering if anyone else has one, and if there is a photo paper I could buy that will make the pictures I print look more like the ones you get printed at a lab. My images seem more matte finish and I'm looking for the glossier finish of a lab. Am I looking for something that isn't available for this printer? Thanks for the help.

Paper comes in different finishes so just buy glossy paper.

Pictorico photo gallery. Made by olympus. It may be hard to find. Some Best Buys have it, not all. It's my favorite so far. Pictorico premium glossy is good also. Canon's photo paper pro is a close 2nd. That's in every Best Buy I've been in. Oriental graphica is good. It's not as thick as I'd like. I tried that a few weeks ago, but I doubt you'll find it in any regular stores. Epson looks pretty good but if you hold it a certain way you can see what looks like layers of the ink.

Elizabeth: The 2200 prints, even on glossy paper are not super glossy. That's why Epson recently introduced the R800 printer that makes much glossier prints, but only in 8.5x11" maximum size. (Also uses pigment inks but new inks and a gloss-optimizer coating.) For your 2200, try the Epson Photo Quality Glossy Film, their glossiest paper. Cheers! Peter Burian
