Photography Question

Vintage Toys Permissions?

Hello, all.

I've played around with some shots involving a vintage (1950) board game by Parker Brothers. What permissions are needed to use whimsical shots of this type of thing in a format such as a greeting card, for example?

Thanks,

Jason

You should consult a lawyer with this type of question. I'm not a lawyer and could be wrong on this, but if the product is easily recognizable in the image then you need a license or permission use the image commercially. Even if it the product no longer made the company may retain rights to it.

  Thank you for your response.

Absolutely I agree that I need permission from the company. I was hoping someone might happen to know the job title or department to directly contact within a corporation to obtain this type of permission. Running it past a copyright attorney sounds like a do-able plan.

Thanks again,

Jason
