I use Microsoft publisher. It is not difficult to use, but it does take some practice. Once you get the hang of it, it is great. I have sold my "art cards" as I like to call them, using this program and have had professional results. It is also great for making custom calendars with photos and any kind of flyer and announcement you can think of, whether for personal or business use. It also has many premade templates so you can easily insert your copy or photographs without a lot of design work. I hope this helps.

  get a macintosh!!!
use adobe photoshop, nothing else!!!
if you want great quality then you should use the best equipment, therefore the macintosh is your best bet!
if you don't care about quality then use microsoft crap!!!!!!!!
trust me - if more photogrpahers used a mac they would have better images!
