If you are looking at various cameras to buy and do not know what specs like TTL mean, try getting your hands on a sales brochure for the camera; the marketing literature often does a better job of explaining features. In the meantime, TTL refers to Through the Lens and means that the camera's meter takes a reading right through the lens. This makes lighting with fill-flash a million times easier than it used to be.
