Good Photos

I have noticed that whenever I use my flash to take a photograph, my prints have a black bar across the top of them. It doesn't do this anytime I DON'T use my flash attachment & my photos come out perfect. What is it with this "black" bar on my photos & what does the flash have to do with it? I thought about replacing the battery in my camera to see if that may be where my problem is. Can you help me PLEASE? Thank you!!

This is probably a flash-sync problem. When using a flash, you have to set your camera to a specific shutter speed in order for it to work properly. Check the manual for your specific flash-sync shutter speed.

Hi Ruth, I had a similar problem on an older camera even though I had my shutter speed set to the flash sync speed indicated in my camera manual. Took it into a camera store, they told me shutter wasn't syncing right with the flash and for a "cheap fix" just set the shutter one speed slower - it worked for me!
