Harriet, this is the wording in a Jackpot email- "You just got a jackpot of appreciation on one of your photos at BetterPhoto.com! This is due to your photo being among the top top final photos in the contest - congratulations! Way to go! Whether or not this photo is in the top 111 winners, I wanted to give you a big pat on the back. Your photo is remarkable." In January, I received one Jackpot email, but I did not have any Gold winners that month. Today, I received three Jackpot emails. Two hours later, I received notification of my 2nd Place Gold Winner. :o)

Harriet....as Jim (I think) explained in another thread, getting a "Jackpot" means that at least one judge gave the image a vote for 1st Place. I got a Jackpot this month, but no gold; but I have gotten Jackpots AND gotten a gold Second Place, before. It's all part of the mysterious, arcane, judging procedure. ;-)
