3.5" floppy storage
resolution high enough to print out photos on my ink jet printer
simple operation

I'm on my second digital camera - an Olympus C-2500. I think 3.5 inch storage has gone the way of dinosaurs. Nowadays, it's smart media and compact flash cards. They are expensive, but I have been very satisfied with my new camera. Good luck.

The problem with floppy disk storage is that - even though it is convenient - it provides so little space. You won't be able to fit many (if any) images with enough resolution to print out high-quality photos on your ink jet printer.

Panasonic just released one that is using the LS-120 which is the 120M floppy disk just like Sony camera.

I don't know the model number, or detail spec. I think it sells around $700-800.

Or, try camera that uses IBM Microdrive 170M of 340M. Currently Casio QV-2000UX/3000 and Canon S10 support it. I can take over 400 1600x1200 or over 1000 800x600 photos using 340M Microdrive on QV-2000UX. Casio sells the bundle for $800.
