Correct Aperture & Shutter Speed? I have a Nikon N60 camera. I am beginning to work with manually setting the shutter speed and aperture. My camera has an electronic analog display, which indicates the correct exposure and aperture. If I try to experiment it indicates a possible over/under exposure etc. Should I go ahead and keep the settings recommended by the camera?

Without knowing where and how you were metering it's tough to say. But the whole logic behind working in manual is that the camera is just a dumb machine and doesn't always know what is best. Just because it's telling you you're over or underexposing doesn't mean it's right. Film is cheap. Experiment and ignore what your camera is saying. Most importantly, read some books on exposure so you can argue logically with your camera.
