back button/exxposure lock When using Back Button Focus, how do you use exposure lock? (it's on the same button)

You should be able to seperate the two and keep exposure lock on the shutter with the focus on the rear button. It's been awile since I used it but I think that was one of my choices in the menu.

oh by the way it is Canon camera Yeah randy it does seem so butI can't figure out how. Normally on exposure lock you use both the shutter and the back button to get exposure lock activated but when that button is used for back focus....not sure how to make it work.

See if this helps. I'm sure Art would respond if you didn't understand what he is saying. http://www.birdsasart-blog.com/2011/09/13/rear-focus-tutorial/

Why not just use manual exposure.

:)Nicholas I used to use manual mode all the time. Now I'm on a learning streak and know how to use all the modes and buttons so I thought there would be an easier way than holding down the shutter button for exposure lock when using BBF
