CF Errors I have spent the better part of the morning looking at the other CF errors and issues posts. My problem doesn't seem to fit most of the posts. So here I go. I have Sony 700 that works great inside and used to outside. It seems the higher the humidity, I start having CF errors. The camera will not recognize that it is in the slot, asks me to reinsert the card, etc. I have reset the camera to its defaults, reformatted the CF, removed the batery, etc. I spent a good bit of time with the Sony help desk, but the problem still exisits. I can take this same disc out of the 700 and use it with no issues in the 350 and have the same issue with the 350 disc in the 700. Any ideas or suggestions?

Get back to the Sony help desk and demand a new camera!

Eloise use a flash light to check the contact prongs inside your camera and check the holes on the card I use a quick pass with a cool blow dryer for any dust and particles. to see if it helps.

Thanks Carolyn, I've already got an email and call into Sony to see what they say. Brenda, that's a great idea, I'll give it a try. Of course, yesterday when we went out shooting, the camera worked like a champ. Then again, there was very little humidity.

Eloise, I can't tell from your posts...but does this symptom occur with different CF cards? I'm assuming you have more than one CF card?

Yes, it happens with them all. They are all 1GBs and 4GBs. As I said above, the same card taken from the 700 will work fine in the 350 or 100. Leads me to think it is not the card itself that is the problem.
