classes I just found your website and I am very interested in classes you have available. I just received a Sony A700 camera and I need to know how to use all the features. My kids are very active in sports and I like to take action pictures as well as still. Can you help???

Cindy hang in there and one of the instructors will get back to you soon. In the meantime they have a course finder that is supposed to help you decide what is best for you.

Hi Cindy, Thanks for your interest in BetterPhoto's online classes ... and congrats on your new camera! In no particular order, here are three excellent courses, each of which will get you comfortable with your D-SLR camera: Digital SLR Photography with Vik Orenstein Beginning Photography: Jump Start to Digital Photography Be sure to check out the Outline and FAQ for each ... those will help narrow down which class is best for you. (See the navigation bar of links just under the course title on the main course page.) If you already have a good handle on aperture and shutter speed - or once you take a course that cover DSLR features and settings - then here's a great class that's specifically designed for sports and action: Cindy, hopefully this is helpful - let me know if you have any further questions! Thanks again for your interest, and happy new year! P.S. Hi Carolyn - thanks for your input!

Thank you for responding to my question. How does the online course work? How do I learn how to use my camera with it not being in a classroom setting? Are their books I need to purchase that will help? Thanks,

Hi Cindy, Thanks for asking! Our classes are entirely online, and consist of lessons, assignments, discussions, critiques by your professional instructor, and interaction among classmates and instructor. Here's a quick tour of how the online classroom works: And here are testimonials from actual students who have taken our courses (including a "what students are saying about specific classes" link to reviews): While almost all of our instructors have written books, the course material is covered in the lessons. Hope this makes more sense, Cindy! Thanks,
