Premiere Coverage I was interested in covering a premiere coming up at Mann's Chinese Theater. Any advice to help get good pictures?

get there early and yell loudly to try to get the actors to come over to where the fans area.

what area should I go to to get the best shots? Would I be allowed in the media/press boxes?

No. You'll be behind some roped off area, or barricades. probably something like across the street.
