stock photography

Has anyone heard of www.luckyoliver.com?

I would like to get feedback on this site compared to istock? Is it worth it? I have a few images there and I found it easy to get on, although I have never tried at istock because they ask for a drivers lic and I am not comfortable doing that.
any thoughts?

Based on what others have said (Yahoo Groups - micropayment forum... LuckyOliver has very very few sales and there seems to be little interest there currently.

Since you have joined them, perhaps you can keep us updated with the number of sales you have there and the size of your portfolio.

OTOH, iStock is absolutely a premier microstock agency (bought by Getty Images last year) and is a top earner for me (the top earner for me is still Shutterstock). Asking for a driver's license shouldn't stop you... We show our driver's license all the time when we write checks...

iStock is a class act as far as business integrity goes.

The driver's license is a way to discourage fraud on the part of the photographer (in the past, some 'photographers' have uploaded 'stolen' photos... work that wasn't their own.

Lucky Oliver looks interesting, but it is so far behind the leaders, it's hard to see why a buyer would go there with at least a dozen bigger players sporting mostly the same images...

I would suggest looking at Shutterstock (still the #1 earner for me). You can click on this link below for more info:

Submit Photos to Shutterstock and make $$$!

With ~ 258 images, I have currently earned $8,394.08 from the microstock agencies, starting with only 3 photos in April 2005.
