Ricoh KR-10 Super Hello, I bought an used Ricoh KR-10 Super SLR camera today for my photography course, but it seems difficult to get any more information about it online. I would really want to know ,if it is a reliable camera and what is the quality of the photos taken with it. I managed to find an instructions manual from www.orphancameras.com. Altough I'm grateful for it, but it seems that the original had some damages in it and the text was typed in by Mike-the guy who runs this site. I'm looking for a manual, which is in good condition and I can use for my study. Thank you very much!

This old venerable camera should serve you well, providing it is in decent shape. It accepts the Pentax K-mount bayonet lenses, and there should be quite a lot of these on Ebay. The quality of your images will be directly related to the quality lenses you purchase. At one time, every independent lens manufacturer made K-mount lenses. I would stick with used Pentax or Ricoh brand, but Vivitar had an excellent selection back in the 1970's. A Vivitar Series 1 is hard to beat. Manuals can be found with a little internet searching. Try doing a google. The camera is pretty basic, so there's not a lot you will need a manual for. Michael H. Cothran

Elica, Hi! I still have my Ricoh KR5 Super II and the instruction manual. I am not sure of the differences in the models but If I can help you any let me know. I bought the camera about 14 years ago and it still works good. Amy

Thank you,Michael and Amy.This is quite helpful and I'm really grateful to both of you for responding. The camera is in pretty good condition. It actually looks like new! I bought it from a second hand camera shop in UK with 6 months guarantee, so I guess this should be fine. I would be grateful to you, Amy,if you can send me the manual for your Ricoh KR5 Super II. Once again, thank you, I'm still learning about photography and I hoped that this camera is going to help me to learn better, because of its manual controls.
