Correct exposure in a snow setting I have a Canon EOS 50 and in 98% of the time it calculates the exposure settings, but.... I am talking snow scenes how can I eliminate gray snow and produce a blue/white photo while still retaining the detail of the subject.

The general rule of thumb for this situation is to overexpose the shot by one or two stops. This is the simple answer, but it usually works fairly well.
