Photography Question

Batteries

I have just bought two new batteries that are for use with Canon Rebel XT and the XTI, but the mAh are different from the original battery that came with my Canon. The new batteries show a mAh of 750 and the old one shows 740 mAh. So my question is this, Do I have the wrong battery and do I dare place it in my camera to use it? I also just seen that the battery numbers are different. Old is NB-2LH and the new is NB-2L. Again, have I got the wrong battery?
Thanks. John.

There is virtually no difference between NB-2L and NB-2LH. Higher mAh rating is better and will not harm your camera. When Canon released a higher capacity version of the NB-2L, they called it NB-2LH. Non-Canon made NB-2L often have higher mAh rating, but do not necessarily carry the additional "H" in the name.

Thanks so much Jon for your help. I'm pleased to find this out for I have bought two of these batteries brand new for under $25.00 together. Thanks again. John.
