Card Full But Isn't I can't depress the shutter button on my Olympus 460Z camera and the message in the window says "Card Full" after I have emptied the card and the camera gives me the message "No Picture". I've even tried a new card and get the same thing. What's the problem's answer please?

Have you tried formatting the card in your camera? It isn't usually necessary, but it might help. What size card are you using?

I don't know that much about digital cameras sorry to say and no I don't know how formatting the card in my camera is done. The card is a spare and I have used it before in the camera. I think it's the one that came in the camera when I bought it new. I believe it is the smallest capacity that's made. I bought a much larger capacity and put it in the camera so I would be sure and have enough room for all the photos I wanted to take. Thank you for your kind reply, if you have any other ideas, please forward them to me. I will check the owner's manual and see if it covers formatting. Unfortunately it didn't cover my problem.

Try removing your battery and reinserting it. That helps with some problems.

I looked up some of the specs on your camera. I think some of these Olympus cameras came with a VERY small Camedia card, some as small as 2MB. If you have a 2MB card in, and your camera is set to it's highest resolution, the SHQ Uncompressed TIFF mode, then the 2MB card won't even fit a single picture. So, while it has no pictures on it, it is also too full to take a picture. You have two choices, you can switch to the larger card, or you can change the recording mode to a different resolution. Your manual will show you how to do this. If you still have the Quick Start Guide that came with your camera, you can read that. I looked it up on Olympus' web site and found this info. Chris
