Filter for Red-Eye? Can you buy a filter that will get the red eye out?

No, but there are some simple ways to minimize the problem. First, use a flash that is not close to the lense. Usually a hotshoe mounted flash on a 35mm camera will increase the distance enough to eliminate most of the problem. If that does not work, you may need to move up to a flash-bracket like the pro's use. If you are using a point and shoot type camera, or a 35mm with a built in flash and can't move the flash, you'll have to think about how you compose your photo. Try to place your subject where there is enough ambient light to close down their pupils (this is the source of that red glow). The red eye reduction feature on many cameras simply shine light into a subjects eyes just long enough to reduce the size of the pupil. Also, most photo supply stores sell "pens" that when dabbed on the red pupils of a print will eliminate the red. Good luck,
