mistake of setting film speed in camera What will be the effectwith my photos if I put a 100 asa speed color film and by error a set the 200 asa film speed in may camera

Well, basically you "told" the camera that the film was twice as light-sensitive as it really is - so in effect the pictures will be underexposed by 1 f-stop. If it is color negative film (to make prints) it might not be a problem at all - negative film is quite forgiving and 1 stop will probably not make much of a difference. If it's slide film, the 1 stop underexposure will be more noticeable - and depending on the subject matter you may lose a visible amount of shadow detail.

Also, if you still have exposures remaining on the same roll, continue to take them at the increased speed on the camera. You can then ask your developer to develop it at the increased speed, or, push the film by one stop and your images should be saved. Chris Walrath

Pushing the film would ve my suggestion. Just do I was stated above. Your photos should be fine.
