Wrong Battery Charger?
About two months ago I purchased some rechargable batteries for my flash unit. The batteries were highly recommended by my camera store in Vancouver. They are Olympus Camedia Ni-MH. I have an Optex Digital Charger that says on it that its good for AA, AAA size Ni-Cd/Ni-MH cells. The problem is after what "seems" like a full charge the batteries die after a few shots. My husband said he had the same problem with these type batteries. Our Ni-Cd batteries charge up just fine. Do I need a charger specifically for Ni-MH or are these batteries not all they are cracked up to be?

My battery charger has a switch to select if you are charging Ni-Cd or Ni-MH batteries. Does your charger have a switch? The fact that my charger has a switch leads me to believe that the two types of batteries have different charging requirements. If your charger doesn't have a switch, it might be better suited for one type than the other. Chris
