Where were you... 9/11 I would like to hear where everyone was with their photography on 9/11/2001 and what you were doing when you heard the news of the terror attacks. I'll start...I didn't know a thing about photography. All that I knew was that I liked to take pictures of my daughter, Mackenzie. She was 3 years old at the time. The day before 9/11 I discovered that I was pregnant with my second child, another daughter. My husband called me that morning, told me to turn on the television. He went on, mentioning that there were planes that crashed into the twin towers. His father was a Captain for Southwest Airlines at the time, so I thought he was calling to tell me something had happened to him. I had no idea what was going on. Of course nothing had happened to my father in law but when I turned on the tele I couldn't believe what I was seeing. It was horrible. My 3 year old daughter walked into the room and asked me if the city was "townsville" from the Powerpuff girls, ripped apart by villians. It must have looked like a fantasy, right? How could this be real? I felt as though the world was falling apart. Did you? I was thinking about it all today and I thought about all of us at Better Photo and what we have learned about photography in the past four years. I know one thing has nothing to do with the other...just a spark of memory. Like I mentioned before, I didn't know anything. Sorry, blah, blah...I'm done. ;) May God bless all that were lost and all that lost someone.
