Canon PowerShot picture info

I am wondering how to access the information about the pictures on the Compact Flash Card in one's Canon PowerShot S1 IS. Like date, aperture, shutter speed, etc. I lost my manual, and I'm not even sure if the camera saves that information. COuld someone help me?

The manuals for the S1 IS can be downloaded from Canon USA website.

Most of that data is contained in the EXIF (Exchange Image File Format) info that is incorporated in the JPEG files. It can be read with many image editing software, or stand-alone EXIF reader programs/plug-ins.

The link I gave may not work directly. Click on "Download Manuals." If you get a message like "We were unable to process your session. ...." then clicking on "Download Manuals" again should get you to the right page.

In addition to what Jon said, if you are viewing the pictures in the camera, pressing the display button repeatedly will cycle through having no info displayed, some info displayed, or all info & histogram displayed.
