Scanning 35mm Negatives To CD's

I am new to this forum and have learned so very much in the short time I have been here. I could spend hours browsing & reading .. thanks to all for posting.

My question is this .. I currently use a Nikon F100 and would like to scan some of my negatives to CD's .. what is the best route to go? .. I would like to purchase a nice piece of equipment to do this .. but am not a pro .. and can't spend tons of money.

What's the best way to go? ..
