Shutter/Mirror box repair TWICE
I've had my Canon Digital Rebel since Oct 2003. One day before warrenty expired the auto-focus mode stopped working and then the shutter/mirror box mechanisim went out.
The repair was covered by warrenty but it took 6 weeks to get back.
Low and behold - the problem began again just yesterday, only 6 months later. I can still use the camera in manual focus, though.
I'm planning to contact Canon today about repair costs, but I don't want to spend hundreds of dollars EVERY year to fix this problem.
