What cause shadow at the bottom of my Pictures When I took pictures with my Canon EOS3 with a flash at a party, my pictures came back from the lab with shadow at the bottom. How do I correct this problem?

What make/model flash? What make/model lens? Lens hood? Such shadows are often caused by a long or wide lens (or lens + hood) blocking the light from the flash. Also if the lens sees a wider angle than the flash can cover with light.

sync speed. If it were lens hood, you'd see it at the top. Or if it happens sometimes, it could be this rubber shock absorber that's breaking down. It leaves a sticky residue on the shutter blades causing them to stick. Probably sync speed though.

Check that, you would see it at the bottom. probably curved. I was visualizing the properly exposed half.
