Problems with flash !


My canon 300EZ does not fire and my pop up flash doest the same !

i have a Canon eos 10s. Do I set any new function or just is fucked?

  Please do not use such vulgar language. It is extremely offensive and unecessary.

The 10D needs either an E-TTL compatible EX-series speedlight (such as 420EX), or a non-dedicated auto unit (such as Vivitar 283). The 300EZ is compatible only with film EOS bodies. It is not E-TTL compatible and will not work with the 10D.

With respect to the built-in flash, check to see if you've set C.Fn.5 to "3" (this setting disables the built-in flash). Otherwise, I have no idea why it would not work.

I goofed. You have the film camera 10s, not the digital 10D. I apologize for the mistake.

Ignore the above answer regarding E-TTL and custom functions.

Other than checking the obvious - clean the hot shoe and speedlight contacts, make sure it is fully seated in the hot shoe, etc. - I don't know why your flash isn't working.

  see, I wasted a 36Exp roll, trying to get the flash fires !!, but nothing happened !, now im trying to check it without a roll, but does not work !!...

a couples of weeks ago, it worked!, yesterday I got a sunpak 544 and a adapter HOT SHOE TO PC for my cam, and that did not work too !!!

one more thing, when I use de 300EZ flash, the symbol in my cam is shown, but it just dont fire !.
