kimunor lens on maxxum 3 camera I have a kimunor 500mm lens mf and a minolta maxxum 3 af camera what kind of adapter do I need to make it fit. I have found some people tell me it wont then others want to sell me a t mount adapter for minolta. I do know that it will be mf even though I have af and I don't care I just want to take some pictures!! can you help

Can you check with whoever you got the lens from as to what mount it has? Never heard of Kimunor, but it most likely is a mirror (aka "reflex") lens with the "universal" T-mount. If so, you need the T-mount for Minolta Maxxum (example here.) To use this lens with your Maxxum 3, you'll have to cancel the shutter release lock. If the camera thinks there is no lens, or a non-compatible lens mounted, it will not allow the shutter to release. See p. 54 of the user manual for disabling the lock:

jon thanks for your help, someone at the site you reference told me nothing would work because my camera was af and the lens was mf????
