picture of the Sun I was wondering if anybody has tryed to take a picture of the sun by placeing a welding lens onto the camera lens?

Hi Ray. I did this for the eclipse we had about 14 years ago. In fact, I still have the welders glass. I have three of them(approx 4 1/2" x 5 1/2") and the package says they are a shade #14. I believe I taped one or two of these pieces to the camera(over the lens) and took some surprisingly very nice pictures of the eclipse. Hope this helps.
