Stage Lighting Without Flash
I have been asked to take some photos at a dress rehearsal for a stage production. I don't think I can use a flash. I will have a 28-80mm lens and a 100-300mm lens. Am I right in using a fast film, can you suggest a speed? Any other tips you have would be appreciated.

I shot photo's at a Merle Haggard concert in September. The concert was in a very intimate setting where the furthest seat from the stage was 75'. I was using two cameras, one with a 28-80mm lens and the other had a 200mm lens. I used 800 ISO Kodak film with no flash. I metered the subject using the built in spot meter and the photo's came out really nice. Most of the pictures were taken at 1/125th sec and f11 - f16. I posted a few of the pictures on my website if your interested in seeing the results. The pictures are located in the "Concerts" area.Hope this helps! - Mike Walters
