Preventing Half of the Picute from Being Black
What causes and how can I prevent my pictures from being half black while the other half is sharp?

If you are using your flash when you notice this happening, you're shutter speed is set too fast.
Try a slower shutter speed, at or below the "sync speed" listed in the specs of your camera.
