Canon EOS Digital Rebel Getting Error 99 when using Quantaray 70-300 AF or Quantaray Tech-10 Wide angle AF Lenses. Canon lenses work without any problem.. Anyone have any ideas?

Check with the Ritz/Wolf store you purchased them from, or with the probable manufacture, Sigma. The electronic interface is backward engineered. When the lenses are introduced they work with the existing Canon cameras, but the interpretation is not perfect and are sometimes incompatible with newly introduced bodies. The lenses need to have a ROM chip replaced.
