Where do you set a slave when taking group shots?
Could you tell me where to set up the slave flash if I am taking group shots, such as at a wedding? I am concerned that with a flash attachment on the camera (diffused or bounced) and the slave flash, that maybe there may be too much light.

Hi Rebecca, I think it can be placed any where as long as ur viewfinder cannot see it. Usually place behind subjects about 2 metres away or to the side- also about the same distance. Slave flashes usually have about equal or less guide number than hotshoe flash. Without flashmeter it's safe to judge the 2 metre distance as long as u shoot negative. Wide latitude, no problem.
