HELP! Adobe color problems What is up with Adobe and it's oversaturated colors? I've used Elements and CS now and in both programs there is this totally oversaturated dark color. I open in EVERY other program and it's much different, including printing/posting on the net and all my lower end image editors. So what's up? I've fiddled with my color settings but have no clue what I'm doing. Any suggestions. At this rate I'll go with JASC because when I used the trial it didn't do this to me! But I want to order soon. HELP! I think JASC will use most of the standard plugins, right? I was hoping to go with Adobe because I plan to illustrate books with my photos and need an industry standard. But I can't edit like this. I have no real idea what the photo looks like in this program. So I correct the saturation problem only to open in another program and have a totally washed out looking photo! Thoughts appreciated! Karma

Go to START in the lower left of your screen. Click on Settings, then Control Panel. Click on the monitor icon, called Displays. On the Settings Tab, be sure your color display is set to maximum, millions of colors, or whatever the highest setting is. I had a computer once that would occassionally default to a lower setting when I booted it up.

Thanks Doug, I don't think it's my monitor settings as it's only in Adobe software I even have this problem. I don't understand why Adobe shows my pictures as so dark. It's not that way even on the camera LCD. It's just in Adobe software. I don't understand why this is. Thanks, Karma

I figured it out! In color management it needs to be on Moniter RGB. Finally. This is on CS but will probably work in Elements too. I'll now order Elements! Phew! Karma
