Photography Question

Linda Kessler

Can glass plate negatives be x-rayed

I recently purchased antique glass plate negatives for the late 1800's or early 1900's. Can these and undeveloped photographic paper go through the x-ray machines at the airport safely without any alteration or damage to them as in film? Or should I ask the attendant to hand view and avoid the machines. Will be flying Saturday so a speedy response would be greatly appreciated.

The glass plates with developed and fixed images can be x-rayed. The undeveloped photo paper cannot. I don't know what to do about the photo paper as it cannot be exposed to light for hand-inspection either.
