double images

I am sure there is someone that has the answer to my problem! I use a Olympus Stylus 105 and Canon Rebel 2000 w/speedlite 380EX, with both cameras I use film of 400 and recently 800 speed. for dark settings I place them on night setting I am discussed whit they are developed and they have double images, I have even adjusted the focus on the olympus before taking the shot,It has got to me because I get this with both cameras. Sometimes the images are too too dark. Help!with Thanks Ms. Jo

It sounds like you're getting an image from the flash and a second image from having a long shutter speed combined with using the flash. If you use a shutter speed closer to the sync speed it might fix it.
Or if it's a stationary subject, use a tripod if you're getting blur from moving the camera slightly.
