Good Pentax Camera

I'm trying to decide which Pentax would be the best for me. Right now I'm looking at the ZX-10 and ZX-50. Mostly I photograph people and architecture.

The Pentax ZX-10 (after you get a comparable lens) will be about $70-100 more than the ZX-50 kit. While the ZX-10 is simple and lightweight - a great camera for a beginner - I think you get more bang for the buck with the ZX-50 kit. This camera is professionally equipped and is as affordable as these starter SLRs get.

The ZX-10 has power zoom lens control, a "Smart" picture mode makes the touch decisions for you, 6-segment with center-weighted metering, and a panoramic option (with the Date model).

The ZX-50 doesn't worry about things like panoramic mode - a minor convenience when you learn how it is done - and focuses on features that you will need as you grow.

Other than that the cameras are very similar. Both have great exposure and focusing capabilities, including a
"Smart" flash mode that helps with difficult lighting and includes pre-flash to reduce red-eye.

Both are excellent!
