Telephoto Lenses on a digital camera I would like to shoot long distance photos but don't know enough about lenses to choose. I will be shooting from 30 to 50 meters and would like to produce a nice 8X10 action portrait. I think I can get started with a 35mm film camera but would like ultimately to do the same shots with a digital camera. My question has to do with whether or not a digital camera will work with such a long lens (I realize I would need a professional digital camera). Is it commonly done? ... and what would be a good lens choice.
