Kodak DC4800 I have just recently gotten into taking pictures. I have a friend who just got a Kodak digital camera (not the 4800) but I completely fell in love with the picture quality, the software, and the ease of use. My question is, I have been looking around at cameras, and I can easily afford the 4800, but being a beginner, is that camera a bad choice to start out with? I haven't had photography classes or any extensive knowledge of photography, but the digital cameras appeal to me because of the ease of just deleting a bad picture. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you

The 4800 is an awesome digital camera for a beginner, if you can afford it. It's got the resolution and some of the features of a pro digital camera, but like all of Kodak's cameras, it's incredibly easy to use. All the menus are in plain English, and control layout is pretty simple. Hope this helps.

Thank you for your advice. I got the camera for Christmas, and couldn't be happier. The only complaint I can come up with is that the view finder is off center, so it is sort of hard to line your shots up. But once I got the hang of it, I have been nothing but impressed. The image quality is superb, it is very easy to use. I also like the fact that I can adjust most anything on it. All in all I have to say that while it is sort of expensive, I think it is well worth the money.
