How to link to your editors picks I noticed that on the EFP's thread people put links to the photos that they have entered that have earned Editor's pick status. Can anyone explain how to do that? Copy and paste the url?

It is a bit tricky. BP lets you "insert" a photo (from your Member Center) into a Forum Discussion, by using that photo's Photo ID# (visible in your Member Center)---IF you have not yet made a new contest entry that day. So, to display a photo here (that is already in your Member Center) you'd first go look up the Photo ID, copy that number, come to the Forum Thread you want to reply to, compose your reply, then before you hit Submit on your reply, choose "1" from the dropdown list. Hit Submit. The next screen will look like a photo upload screen, asking for title, description, etc. Ignore that part---but look over at the right edge, and you'll see a box for "Photo ID"---paste in your copied number there, and hit Submit. Now, go back into the Forums fresh, find the thread you just commented on, and you should see your image. You can of course, upload a brand new image file during any Forum reply---but it will put that image into your Member Center---so if you already have that cute shot of a baby in your Member Center, you probably don't want to upload a duplicate into your Member Center, and start to confuse things! So it pays to do your Forum Replies (where you intend to attach an existing image) before think about the day's contest entry... Once you upload to the contest for that day, you can no longer use the Photo ID method I've described, for that day.

Thank you for that detailed response, which is very helpful. But if you can't enter a photo if you've entered the contest that day, how do people get their Editor's Pick photos in, they've already been entered into the contest! I guess I'm a bit confused!

The "clock" resets each day---the method of pasting your PhotoID only works until the moment you enter for that day---once you upload a contest entry, then you cannot use the Photo ID to link to an existing photo, until the next day (BP time--which is Pacific.) After midnight strikes at BP, you're into a new day, and you can once again use the PhotoID method---until you upload a new contest entry that day, of course ;) It is a strange quirk of BP.

Thank you, I'll try that tomorrow and see how it works out! It is definitely quirky, since we're not entering the photo into a contest but just to a forum thread! Oh well! Thanks again!
